April 28, 29 & May 1, 2008 | Owasso, ok | owasso sports complex
The sad reality is that a larger percentage of the young girls playing softball in the OGSA this season will end up developing breast cancer than playing softball past the high school level. That’s not meant to scare you. Instead, it’s meant to wake you up to the danger our daughters, nieces and friend’s children may face before they are able to enjoy watching their own daughters play this wonderful sport.
And that is why the Owasso Girls Softball Association (OGSA) has started Strikes Against Cancer (SAC). This year’s event takes place April 28-29 & May 1 at the Owasso Sports Complex during league games.
But we need your help.
As parents to these young ladies and supporters of their athletic development, the OGSA strives to do what it can to promote amateur softball for all persons regardless of race, color, creed, religion, sex, national origin or ancestry. But it also has a duty to its community to help raise awareness and contribute to worthy causes including breast cancer and Susan G. Komen for the Cure.
